Our story
Why I started Lumen Ledger
I've spent more than six years inside growing companies as a staff accountant, consultant, controller, and finance manager in construction, multi-unit retail and franchise, healthcare, and professional services. In almost every one, I found the same thing: smart, hard-working teams buried under manual work, fragile spreadsheets, and software that was bought but never fully put to work.
I've also seen what happens when you fix it. I helped a concrete contractor go from a ($288K) carried loss to $1M in retained earnings in twelve months. I built general ledgers from scratch for three brands across 30 locations, and delivered $850K in annual savings. Along the way I've implemented a dozen platforms, from Sage Intacct and Procore to QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Toast.
I started Lumen Ledger to bring that same clarity to more businesses: accounting done right, controls you can trust, and automation that actually sticks. And because finance shouldn't get lost in translation, we work with clients in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
